AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

The senior thesis project provided a great new challenge for me. The scope of the project was much larger than anything else I have done in school, as evidenced by the time frame of the work and length of reports. The loose structure of the class provided me the opportunity to motivate myself. I feel that I did a fairly good job in this aspect.

Overall I feel that the class was well structured. The class meetings were sparse, but each one was useful. All of the advisors also were very willing to provide advise and input.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The discussion board proved to be a good forum for posting questions and recieving course announcements when there was no class. I feel that the discussion board was often a good alternative to meeting for class.

I enjoyed using the CPEP site because it allowed for friends and family to track my thesis progress throughout the past two semesters.

The capstone project electronic portfolio (cpep) is a web-based project and information center. it contains material produced for a year-long senior thesis class. its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. this website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the department of architectural engineering. for an explantion of this capstone design course and its requirements
